These are some CBD Oil Tinctures we made for a customer using hemp seed oil as the carrier oil. The most common carrier oil is probably coconut. Hemp seed oil adds a bright earthy flavor that’s unmistakable.
Hemp seed oil is one of the best plant based oils you can find. It is a great source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids and magnesium. It’s a beautiful jade green color and has a terrific aroma.
It’s important to note that I am saying “hemp seed oil” because that is different than CBD Oil. Hemp seed oil is, as the name implies, derived from hemp seeds. The seeds of the hemp plant contain only scant traces of any type of cannabinoids. This is different from CBD oil, which is derived from the plant itself and which is rich in CBD and other cannabinoids.
The benefits of hemp seed oil are just more reason that hemp is one of the most versatile and valuable plants we’ve ever cultivated. Hemp can be an economic and environmentally safe replacement for a number of nasty products, especially a number of petroleum products.
For this to happen, however, hemp needs to be grown AND PROCESSED on a large scale. We should all do everything we can to support this effort.
